The Port of Itaguai is one of the ports serving the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. In 2005, more than 93 thousand people called Itaguai home. Located 75 kilometers west of Rio, it lies between the shores of Sepetiba Bay and the beautiful Atlantic rain forest. Serving as a dormitory town for the industrial zone, Itaguai is one of Rio’s poorest areas.
