The Port of Laem Chabang has a hot tropical climate where temperatures during the day reach the mid-30s (Celsius) all year long. The driest time of year, during which most tourists arrive, lasts from November through February. The rainy season is from May through October, and the hottest months are March, April, and May. Temperatures range from an average high of 35 °C (95 °F) in April to an average low of 31 °C (88 °F) in December.

The Port of Laem Chabang is famous for its excellent golf courses. The Laem Chabang International Country Club boasts an excellent championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus that offers three nine-hole terrains (Mountain, Lake, and Creek) that will test all golfers' ability. The course is maintained to the highest standards throughout the year and is a favorite for local and foreign golfers.

The old fishing town of Pattaya is about 18 kilometers south of the Port of Laem Chabang. Pattaya became popular as an R&R stop for soldiers from the United States during the Vietnam War, and it has developed into a family-oriented seaside resort, welcoming over five million visitors a year. Pattaya has more than 20 golf courses nearby, several theme parks and zoos, and an underwater submarine exploration of the sea corals and marine life offshore.

About 37 kilometers south of the Port of Laem Chabang is the new seaside resort of Bang Sare where travelers will find wonderful beaches, comfortable bungalows, and high-quality hotels. The nearby island of Koh Khram is popular with visitors, and it offers a beautiful bay. Bang Sare (also Bang Sa-re or Bang Saray) was originally a fishing village, and it is an ideal place for deep-sea fishermen.
