Zeeland Seaports has a moderate maritime climate with frequent long spells of rain and rapid weather changes. The weather is unpredictable, as the sea has tremendous influence on the climate. Spring is the driest season in Zeeland Seaports. Winters can be quite cold and windy, but people can skate on the frozen lakes and rivers. The one-twentieth-scale Miniature Walcheren boasts over 250 botanical species, 30 thousand bulbs, and 1400 bonsai trees. The model includes a castle, and visitors can simply push a button to activate an automated Zeeland scene. The model is exact, with sunken footpaths, the great hall, and the Abbey of Middleburg. A ship burns in the harbor. Children will enjoy the castle, indoor playground, water game, train, remote control boats, and fairyland tunnel.
