The Shadows Marina is the newest Port of Poughkeepsie marina in the Hudson Valley. Located in the Port of Poughkeepsie, Shadows Marina can accommodate the largest boats in the region. Seasonal dockage is available from mid-April until early November, and rates include water and electricity. Jet skis can be docked with boats for an additional seasonal charge. The marina is equipped to haul 20-ton trailers and powerboats and sailboats. Fresh water and electric service is available at the docks. The marina's river face dock can accommodate boats to 45.7 meters (150 feet) long, and water depth at the dock is from 3.4 to 5.5 meters (11 to 18 feet). Winter Storage is available at the Port of Poughkeepsie's Hyde Park Marina from mid-October through mid-May. Secure gated storage runs from $15 to $25 per foot.

The Port of Poughkeepsie Municipal Launch Ramp is available free of charge. The double-wide ramp feeds directly into the main channel of the Hudson River, and it offers unlimited space for maneuvering cars and trailers. The Municipal Launch Ramp in the Port of Poughkeepsie is open from 8am until 9pm, and it offers picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and a restaurant in the park. The Port of Poughkeepsie Parks Department manages the launch. Due to its current condition, the ramp may be problematic for larger boats or for a single boater.
