The Port of Northport is home to two commercial marine docks. Keyspan Energy Inc. owns and operates the Northport Power Plant Offshore Fuel Wharf and the Northport Power Plant Emergency Fuel Dock.

The Port of Northport Power Plant Offshore Fuel Wharf is used to receive fuel oil for consumption by the power plant. A pipeline connects the wharf to five steel storage tanks with total capacity for 1.9 million barrels at the power plant. The Port of Northport Power Plant Offshore Fuel Wharf has berthing distance of 251.5 meters (825 feet) and 16.5 meters (54 feet) with alongside depth of 11.6 meters (38 feet).

The Port of Northport Power Plant Emergency Fuel Dock is used for mooring Keyspan Energy's company-owned vessels. A pipeline is available to receive emergency supplies of fuel oil by barge for consumption by the power plant. This Port of Northport dock has berthing distance of 47.5 meters (156 feet) with alongside depth of four meters (13 feet).

The Britannia Yachting Center is located on Northport Harbor just minutes from the historic village. Boaters from New England to Florida come to this Port of Northport facility that offers a 310-slip marina. The 5.5-acre yachting center has family-friendly amenities that include a private swimming pool with lifeguards, climate-controlled bathrooms and showers, and attentive dock attendants. The docks are equipped with water, electricity, and cable TV, and the entire marina is WiFi compatible. In addition to a boat and yacht sales brokerage, this popular Port of Northport marina has a market and a provision store, a dive center, and the quick and casual Whale's Tale Café. There are also a bait and tackle shop, outfitters for outdoor water sports, and a marine chandlery.

The Port of Northport's Britannia Yachting Center marina offers complete yacht service and a skilled crew of mechanics, riggers, painters, and carpenters that works throughout the year. The marina has a one-ton travel lift, a 20-ton hydraulic trailer, a 15-ton mobile crane, two 15-ton travel lifts, and a stationary mast crane. The mechanical team specializes in fuel and electrical systems and re-powering engines, although they can undertake any service challenge. The finish department is known for quality work with Awlgrip, varnish, conventional paint, and major fiberglass repairs. The carpentry shop team includes some of the best at interiors, transoms, trim, built-ins, and plank-on-frame restorations.

Seymour's Boatyard in the Port of Northport has been providing the full range of boat maintenance and service since 1928. Services include fiberglass and gelcoat repairs, carpentry, interior design as well as mechanical, engine, head, rigging, blister, and rot repairs. Seymour's Boatyard in the Port of Northport also offers dry storage for both brokerage sales and winter storage.

The Port of Northport's Seymour's Boatyard offers transient moorings for vessels to 18.3 meters (60 feet) for both daily and weekly terms. Services include launching, marine railway hauling (to 50 tons), crane hauling and side tracking (to 50 tons), rigging services, on-site power washing and bottom paint and blasting, and complete detailing services including compounding, hand waxing, and carpet steaming. Seymour's also has a Mercruiser Certified marine mechanic that performs complete tune-ups, full drive services, and re-power.
