Woods Hole Marine has operated in Woods Hole Harbor for more than 30 years. Slips and moorings that can accommodate vessels to 15.2 meters (50 feet) are available at this marine service company at Woods Hole Harbor. Transient spaces can be limited during the summer season, so reservations are advised.

Services available at Woods Hole Marine include boat hauling, wet and dry storage, shrink wrapping, custom dock fabrication, certified mooring inspections and maintenance, and diving assistance. Electric power, fresh water, and trash pick-up are available on dock. There are also showers, ice, and high speed internet access.

The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority is operated by the State of Massachusetts to provide transportation services and necessities for people traveling to and from the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The Steamship Authority licenses private ferry operators that provide passenger services on a seasonal basis between New Bedford and Oak Bluffs, Woods Hole Harbor and Edgartown, Hyannis and Oak Bluffs, and Harwichport and Nantucket. Year-round services operate between New Bedford and Vineyard Haven and between Hyannis and Nantucket.
