The port authorities for the Port of Beardstown are the Mid-America Port Commission and the Mid-America Intermodal Authority Port District. Legislation authorized the Commission and District to create an Inland Water Transport Terminal to benefit regional and international business and trade, establish a Foreign Trade Zone to realize excise tax and duty benefits, to act as a public agency, and to issue bonds to finance port facilities.

Archer Daniels Midland Company, operating as ADM/Growmark, owns the ADM/Growmark River System Beardstown Terminal Dock. Used to ship grain, this Port of Beardstown dock has a grain elevator composed of 15 concrete silos and one steel flat storage building with capacity for 2.8 million bushels. The Port of Beardstown Terminal Dock has berthing space of 270 meters (885 feet) with alongside depth of 3.4 meters (11 feet) NPE.

The American Boat Company owns, and the Logsdon Tug Service operates the American Boat Company Dock. Used to moor barges for fleeting, this Port of Beardstown dock has one surface track with capacity for 38 cars that connects with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. At the wharf and at shore moorings below the wharf is capacity for 30-40 barges. The Port of Beardstown's American Boat Company Dock has berthing space of 366 meters (1200 feet) with alongside depth of 3.4 meters (11 feet) NPE.

Cargill, Inc. owns the Port of Beardstown Grain Elevator Dock which is operated by Cargill AgHorizons to ship grain. The grain elevator at the rear of the dock has eight concrete silos and four steel tanks with total capacity for 400 thousand bushels. The Port of Beardstown Grain Elevator Dock has berthing space of 91 meters (300 feet) with alongside depth of 3 meters (10 feet) NPE.

Logsdon Sand and Gravel Company owns the Clarkson Grain Company's Beardstown Dock. Clarkson Grain operates this Port of Beardstown dock to ship grain. The facility is capable of handling about 15 trucks each hour. The Port of Beardstown's Clarkson Grain Company Dock has berthing space of 167 meters (550 feet) with alongside depth of 2.7 meters (9 feet) NPE.

Logsdon Sand and Gravel Company owns and operates the Port of Beardstown Dock to moor company-owned floating equipment. The company's office is located at the rear of the dock. This Port of Beardstown Dock has berthing space of 73 meters (240 feet) with alongside depth of 1.5 meters (5 feet) NPE.

Logsdon Tug Service Inc. owns and operates the Port of Beardstown Fleet Moorings where they moor company-owned floating equipment and tugs for fleeting. The Port of Beardstown Fleet Moorings have berthing space of 2.7 meters (9 feet) with alongside depth of 1.8 meters (6 feet) NPE.
