Seward Small Boat Harbor is operated by the City of Seward. Seward Harbor serves the vessels of the city's commercial fishing fleet. Over one hundred charter boat operators and more than ten tour boat operators also operate out of Seward Harbor. In addition to being the home port of the US Coast Guard Cutter Mustang, Seward Harbor hosts members of the US Naval Fleet regularly.
Seward Harbor's dock is equipped with 250- and 50-ton Travelifts and a 5 thousand ton syncrolift. Seward Harbor includes boat repair yards and offers potable water and power.
Seward Harbor was established in 1964 and has continued to grow since that time. In 2000, the port undertook renovation projects designed to upgrade its facilities. New ramps, floats, and fish cleaning stations were added to better serve port customers.
