Akport Tekirdag Isletmesi (ATI) took over the Port of Tekirdag when it was privatized in 1997. ATI has developed a modern port with the latest equipment and skilled staff to serve the surrounding region. Covering a total area of 130 thousand square meters with two thousand meters of docks, the Port of Tekirdag has capacity to handle 3 million tons of bulk cargo and 250 thousand containers per year.

The Port of Tekirdag's Container Terminal includes four berths with a total length of 1368 meters and alongside depths from 8 to 14 meters. Berth 1 at the container terminal is 255 meters long with alongside depths from 8 to 10.3 meters, and it can accommodate one vessel up to 1400 TEUs or one roll-on/roll-off vessel. The berth is partially sheltered. The well-sheltered Berth 2 is 180 meters long with alongside depth of 11 meters, and it can accommodate one feeder vessel up to 160 meters long.

Also well-sheltered, the Port of Tekirdag's Container Terminal Berth 3 is 328 meters long with alongside depth of 14 meters, and it can accommodate two feeder vessels or a second generation container vessel. On an open-sea wharf, Berth 4 is 356 meters long with alongside depth of 12.5 meters. It can accommodate two feeder vessels or a second generation container vessel. Berth 5 is partially sheltered. It is 249 meters long with alongside depths from 8 to 10.3 meters, and it can accommodate two feeder vessels or one container vessel with a maximum of 1400 TEUs.

At the Port of Tekirdag's New Wharf, Berth 1 handles general cargo, containers, and roll-on/roll-off cargoes. Berth 1 is 252 meters long with alongside depth of 8 meters. Berth 2 handles general cargo and containers, and it is 176 meters long with alongside depth of 12 meters. Berth 8 at the New Wharf in the Port of Tekirdag, at 679 meters long with alongside depth of 12 meters, has a grain silo with capacity for 70 thousand tons.

The Port of Tekirdag Container Terminal includes storage areas behind the first, second, and fifth wharves in the main terminal area. In total, 35 thousand square meters are available, including 912 ground slots with capacity for 2500 TEUs, and 60 reefer points are also available. Other storage areas include 500 square meters of closed area and 19 thousand square meters of open area.

The General Cargo Terminal for foreign cargoes at the Port of Tekirdag is located at the New Wharf. The terminal covers over 21 thousand square meters and is equipped to handle bulk, general, and liquid bulk cargoes. Roll-on/roll-off cargoes are also handled at the New Wharf, which has both open and closed storage areas. Berth 6 at the New Wharf is 343 meters long with maximum draft of 10 meters and minimum draft of 6 meters. Berth 7 is 327 meters long with maximum draft of 9.5 meters and minimum draft of 8 meters. The general cargo area has open storage of about four thousand square meters.

The Port of Tekirdag's Old Wharf, covering about 5.6 thousand square meters, handles primarily cabotage cargoes. It contains four berths with maximum drafts from 5.5 to 8.7 meters and minimum drafts from 3.7 to 6 meters. The berths can accommodate vessels from 61 to 97 meters long.
