Today, London Thamesport offers a 655-meter long quay with alongside depth of 15.5 meters served by six super post-Panamax gantry cranes, 46 terminal tractors, three heavy-lift reachstackers, nineteen rail-mounted gantry cranes, and nine Kalmar empty-handlers. Thamesport has capacity to handle 660 thousand TEUs of containerized cargo per year.
Thamesport handles of the world’s biggest deep-sea container vessels with world-class efficiency supported by a state-of-the-art computerized system tracking each container from entry to departure.
Thamesport offers storage for containers, bulk, and non-containerized cargoes. New warehouse racking facilities provide for as many as 8.2 thousand pallets, and an in-house Warehouse Management System allows full radio coverage to ensure security of stored goods.
Thamesport has four warehouses offering 17.3 thousand square meters of container storage space and 11.1 thousand square meters for wet and dry goods. Four new warehouses are planned that will add seven thousand square meters of storage.
In partnership with Resin Trade Ltd., Thamesport is the base for Equate Petrochemicals, and several silos provide for bulk storage of resin granules. Maritime Container Services (MCS) offers comprehensive container maintenance and repair in Thamesport.
